All technologies provide utility, but not all technologies are technological fixes. To be fixes, there must be a clear and specific *problem* that the technology is expressly deployed to solve. Renewables and GMOs do not solve *specific* problems, but rather provide general improvement in utility in their domains. Thus they are not techno-fixes. undo Tags: section blanking Visual edit

Controversial soft social theories about the causes of obesity have nothing to do with hard climate science and it’s proposed solutions. undo Tags: references removed Mobile edit Mobile web edit

If anyone is reading this, I recommend mentioning nuclear energy here too. ### undo Tag: Visual edit

The solutions described, however, focus on ways to fix symptoms of the problems, rather than the root cause of the problems. Changes to this final version of my article include what some of the fundamental issues of problems are and how algorithms do not actually solve them and instead further perpetuate the problems and create new ones. undo Tag: Visual edit
