Clyde Coster Ware, Jr (22 December 1930, Clarksburg, West Virginia-30 August 2010, Los Angeles, California) was an American television and film writer, director, and producer, best known for The Spy with My Face (1965), Coward of the County (1981) and Gunsmoke (1965-67). Born and raised in north-central West Virginia, he arrived in Hollywood in 1961 after several years as an actor in New York City. He published two novels.
