CW24 News (Arabic: سي دبليو 24 أخبار) is a social and political[1] newspaper published in Cairo, Egyptian Union. It is published five times a week in Arabic and English. It was founded in 1973 by Abdel Fatah Muhammad and President of Egypt Muhammad Anwar Sadat. The newspaper covers the social and political events taking place in Egypt and achievements in various areas of public life. It also publishes materials on the history and culture of the Arab people.[2]

History[edit]

It has been published since 1973 in Cairo under the title “Al-Ahram” (“News of the Regional Office of Important Names of the Arab Republic of Egypt”). In 1973 it was founded by Abdel Fattah Muhammad Hassan with the help of former Egyptian President Muhammad Anwar Sadat. During the Yom Kippur War, the Egyptian government created the newspaper to be fully relied upon to shake this favorite day of the Egyptians. It was the first issue for distribution in 1980 as a newspaper.[3]
